At some point

you just have to give up on getting a great picture. That day was yesterday! I think that digital cameras are wonderful, yet they provide the opportunity to KEEP taking pictures until the RIGHT one is actually taken...which, when trying to coordinate a bunch of kids, is often NEVER! Oh well. I tried. So yesterday, along with the entire city of Omaha (apparently...) we decided to go the zoo. Our zoo is wonderful and amazing. It really is one of the greatest attractions in the midwest, it totally rivals the San Diego zoo. So we have a zoo pass, as most do out here. The zoo is giant, it's impossible to see everything there is to see there all in one day. Since Justin has such a short attention span, we usually tell him to pick out 2 things (two "attractions") that he wants to see, so that we only spend 2 hours at the zoo and we don't have to listen to too much whining about how tired his legs are! So yesterday he chose the aquarium (which we almost ALWAYS go to) and the desert dome. Now, from the outside of the zoo, the desert dome seems like the obvious choice, it LOOKS like it's going to be really cool. In actuality, it's quite dumb. Really boring, not cool at all. So to hear that he wanted to go there, we were shocked, but we went anyway. It was BUSY yesterday (as I said, ALL of Omaha decided the zoo was a good place to be yesterday!) so when we got "stuck" in the desert dome, waiting in the line of people that is the path of the desert dome, I wasn't too shocked to hear Justin say "Can we get OUT OF THIS PLACE??? Pu-LEEEASE!???" It was fairly torturous for all, especially because there just really aren't cool animals and reptiles in there! We vowed not to go back to the desert dome for at least another 3 years...since that's about how long ago it was since we went last! But the aquarium was great, as always. The giant octopus was out, the penguins and puffins were fun to watch (as always) as well as the jellyfish. Next month the butterfly and insect pavillion opens so we'll have to go back soon to check it out.

Looks like a lot of fun! I love going to the zoo, especially now that the weather is warming up. I still can't believe how big the boys are getting.

Too fun! The zoo is a great way to get out and have some fun, providing you don't stay too long. Sounds like you've got it down to a science now! The aquarium looks really cool. Glad to see your family doing well!
